Although it’s heartbreaking to think about, many seniors spend the holidays alone. No decorations, no gifts, and no big family gathering. MAS Home Care is proud to introduce our new non-profit organization, Stockings for Seniors, to Maine and New Hampshire. Our goal is to spread some tidings of comfort and joy to seniors in need.
We are contacting various nursing home and adult day care facilities, and gathering a list of seniors who may need some extra cheer this holiday season. We are asking the public to donate and drop off (or call to arrange a pick up) unwrapped gifts like blankets, gift cards, sweaters, puzzles, etc. to MAS Home Care of Maine or MAS Home Care of New Hampshire by December 16th. We will wrap up the goodies and deliver personalized stockings to local seniors as Christmas draws closer.
In order for Stockings for Seniors to be as successful as possible, we need all the community support we can get. If you know of someone who would like to receive a stocking, or if you would like to make a donation, please call Molly Marino at 603-571-4700.
