New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts home health care is a vital service that MAS Home Care provides, but there are other issues near and dear to our heart, including making Christmas a joyous time of year for seniors in need. Celebrate the holiday season with MAS Home Care by participating in some exciting opportunities that allow you to give back to seniors in your community.
Stockings for Seniors
The holiday season is not always a cheer-filled time of year for everyone, including some seniors. A lack of family and friends to spend the holidays with and/or financial insecurity can cause a dismal outlook at a time when festivities are going on all around them. A gift and reminder that they are not forgotten could mean much more than the value of the present itself.
Once again, MAS Home Care is inviting individuals to participate in Stockings for Seniors. This is the 3rd year the agency has brought back the non-profit program. The 2011 and 2012 seasons brought much needed gifts to over 300 seniors, and this year MAS is hoping to double the number of people they can reach.
Help Stockings for Seniors reach their goal by donating unwrapped gifts to MAS Home Care. Gifts are being accepted at our locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine and New Hampshire until December 13th. Visit this page for contact info.
100% of all donations go to seniors in the community.
Some items that are enjoyed by male and female seniors include:
• Blankets
• Gift cards
• Sweaters (any size)
• Hats, Gloves, Scarves
• Puzzles
• Suduko/Crossword Puzzle/Word Search Books
• Books
• Sugar-free candy
If you are not able to drop off a gift, please call your local office to arrange a pick up. We will also be accepting monetary donations to put towards the project! Find more information about locations and how to make a contribution online on our Stockings for Seniors page.
