At MAS Home Care, we offer a free in-home assessment to meet you and better understand your needs. We understand that every client is different, so we create a customized care plan for each individual. From there, we match you with a caregiver who will not only be prepared to meet your specific needs, but who we feel will complement your personality and interests.
During those in-home assessments, we hear some reservations that people may have about signing on as a home care client. These reservations are valid and understandable, but we’d like to put your mind at ease.
“I’m nervous about allowing a stranger into my home.”
We’d be nervous about that, too. But your caregiver won’t be a stranger for long. Your case manager, who will perform the free in-home assessment and who will be your point of contact throughout everything, will accompany your caregiver for their first home care visit with you, and they won’t leave until you’re comfortable.
We find that our caregivers create wonderful relationships with their clients, and develop a very strong loyalty toward them. If something isn’t working out, for whatever reason, we find you a new caregiver as soon as possible – and we’ll keep doing so until you are as happy as a clam. Read an older entry about how much we love our caregivers here.
“I’m not sure if I can afford home care, or if my insurance even covers it.”
We offer extremely competitive rates, and we work with your insurance company to make sure we get you the best coverage options possible.
“I don’t want to deal with the hassle with my insurance company.”
You don’t have to! We do that for you. 🙂
“This is my home, and I don’t want to lose my independence in it.”
The last thing we do is try to control you, or your schedule. We work closely with you, and with your permission, closely with your family members and extended network of medical providers. Our goal is to make sure you are comfortable, safe, and able to stay in your home for as long as possible. And unlike a nursing home, we don’t tell you when or what to eat!
“I don’t really need a caregiver in my home all day.”
That’s okay! We can provide care anywhere from 2 hours per day, to round the clock care (including overnight visits and weekend care).
We hope this entry helped you. When you’re ready to find respectful, dependable home care, contact us. We’ll be here when you’re ready.
